... and requirements on the right side!
The images of ARTCARDS below are from a variety of students who made successful cards. This shows you variety in format, but all have the essential requirements and good information in all relevant categories of FORM, FUNCTION, CONTENT, and / or CONTEXT.

APAH ARTCARDS: These are important tools to record IDENTIFICTION INFORMATION about the required artworks as well as VALID info on FORM, FUNCTION, CONTENT and CONTEXT for each work (what is important for a work varies from work to work).
Use 4x6 cards – smaller ones don’t have enough space. Blank Side (No Lines): Every ARTCARD must have the image of the work on one side. NO OTHER INFO or WORDS – just the image! You may CLEARLY draw them OR print the images and paste / tape. Images available on Weebly! If I can’t recognize the image, you are losing points. Lined Side: YOUR NAME (or at very least, initials) and Class period (upper corner) Every ARTCARD must have the COMPLETE INDENTIFICATION INFORMATION for the work on it, clearly. Every ARTCARD must have the NUMBER of the artwork (as labeled by the APAH curriculum) – choose a corner, keep it consistent! Every ARTCARD must have plentiful accurate and relevant information on it regarding the CONTENT and CONTEXT of the work – using the notes you took in class and online resources provided / found to complete them. Quality ARTCARDS will make connections to THEMES discussed in class in regards to the work or refer to a separate work we compared / contrasted it to in class. ESPECIALLY as we get further into the year! HOW ARE ARTCARDS COLLECTED / GRADED? · The way you will make quality ARTCARDS is by making them AFTER we read about / study / discuss the work in class. So, it is YOUR JOB to create the cards as we learn the works in class. Keep up with it, or you (your grades) will suffer the consequences. I will gently remind you to do this as we go. · On your calendars you see what days ARTCARDS will be due. A day or two prior I will announce / post on Edline what range of cards (lets say cards 1-10) to bring in. At the beginning of the class they are due I will say okay … submit 2,4,6,8,10 for grading in your Ziploc, keep the rest! But ya gotta have them all done because ya never know which ones I will collect. CARDS are worth 10 POINTS each, graded on completion. Points deducted for:
